The exhibition Gold for Future, which forms part of the JOYA Barcelona events, opened in September 2020 in the Majoral premises. It brings together unique pieces from each of the eight brands that make up the ORIGEN group to underline that the future is in the ethical origin of the materials we use for our jewellery.
It exhibits all kinds of jewels from minimalist forms charged with a heavy symbolic value to organic and sinuous shapes that find their starting point in nature and take the materials to the limits of their delicacy. Perfectly shaped and conflict-free crystals and gems with an intrinsic complexity are also central pieces in this exhibition.
You can find brands inspired by an explosion of colours and shapes from ancient, ancestral cultures or that pay homage to the primitive. This is jewellery as a human activity that builds civilisations and which humans have adopted to make their individual mark, connect with their territory and, in doing so, create a whole universe of meaning.
All the pieces are unique examples of artisanal jewellery, made with gold, silver and gems of responsible origin. They speak of the mines from which the metal comes and the people who extract it; they appeal to the footprints that are left behind every time we wear the pieces for a special occasion or simply every day. Gold for Future is a new artistic conception in which creativity and aesthetic beauty gain as much importance as the values of sustainability and social justice.
